Picking A Good Domain Name
This content is for Fizzle members only.
- Old advice: You must choose a domain name that had your target keyword in it
- New advice: Domain keywords don’t matter anymore (Google is smarter now) Don’t pigeonhole yourself to only writing about one thing.
- Think ahead: How can you pick a website name that you can possibly expand? For example AllAboutFootwear.com vs. AllAboutCrocs.com
- You don’t need to buy all the variations. All you need is a .com or a .co
- Buy the domain for as many years as possible. Owning the domain name for several years signals to Google that you’re serious.
- I buy all my domains through GoDaddy.com
