Episode 68: When To Move On (FS068)

How long are you going to think to yourself “I need to give that a shot” before you take the leap and try it?

In this episode we share our own stories about moving on, what we learned, how we did it, and how to do it better.

We also tell, for the first time, a new story about someone near and dear to this podcast. We start the episode with that announcement. Enjoy!

Show Notes

Jodorowsky’s Dune An (excellent) documentary about the best scifi movie never made.

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

A Note From Caleb

Caleb WojcikCaleb here. I’m writing with mixed emotions today to announce I’ll be leaving Fizzle in a little over a month.

It’s time for the next challenge for me and I’ll be moving on to do the very thing we teach and support at Fizzle (namely, entrepreneurial stuff).

You know those bad high school dating break-ups where you can’t even make eye contact in the hall and all your friends have to choose sides? This IS NOT one of those. I’m moving on with a wonderful relationship with Corbett, Chase and Barrett in tact.

This is simply me being ready for the continuation of my entrepreneurial journey, just like we support you all in that same exact boat every day here at Fizzle. The next chapter starts with me being independent.

I’ll be around for another few weeks (Sep 30 is my last day). And even after that you’ll see me around as I occasionally join the podcast, write for The Sparkline blog, produce/edit videos and chat with you in the forums.

What’s next for me? I’ll be building out my video production agency (Caleb Wojcik Films) and teaching about video at DIY Video Guy.

If you have comments, questions, or well wishes about this you can leave a comment below.

I’ll see you there or I’ll see you another time.

Grow an audience and get paid for your work as an independent creator. Fizzle is where creators come to learn, share and make progress toward their online dreams.

I’ve taken a lot of courses and been involved in several paid communities since I started my business, but I’ve never ever felt like anyone CARED as much about seeing my reach my goals as the Fizzle Team. They show up for me as much as I show up for myself. Thank you SO much, you guys!
