It’s no secret that the way we structure our days can foster our creativity and discipline.
This is how you and I get our work done, the times and places we do the work, the activities we do so we’re in the right headspace to plan and strategize the work.
So in this episode I wanted to learn more about how Corbett Barr (founder of Think Traffic and Fizzle) structures his days.
This is a zero BS look at the real life of an online entrepreneur and in it you’ll find some hard-earned insights about motivation, productivity and time management.
Enjoy!

The Top 10 Mistakes in Online Business
Every week we talk with entrepreneurs. We talk about what’s working and what isn’t. We talk about successes and failures. We spend time with complete newbies, seasoned veterans, and everything in between.
One topic that comes up over and over again with both groups is mistakes made in starting businesses. Newbies love to learn about mistakes so they can avoid them. Veterans love to talk about what they wish they had known when starting out.
These conversations have been fascinating, so we compiled a list of the 10 mistakes we hear most often into a nifty lil' guide. Get the 10 Most Common Mistakes in Starting an Online Business here »

Hey guys,
Just getting started with this episode, but before I forget I have to mention Uvex orange glasses. I’d used f.lux for years, and it seemed to make evening computer usage easier on the eyes. But f.lux only reduces blue light; it doesn’t eliminate it. These orange glasses block ALL blue light—when I have them on, the blue LED on my computer is completely dark! And I notice a *huge* difference when I have them on in the evening.
With f.lux on my computer but no glasses, my eyes will get tired during an evening computer session, but the rest of me won’t feel tired or sleepy, really, unless I hit that wall of exhaustion which means I’m *way* overdue for sleep.
With the glasses on, my eyes still get tired, but less so. Instead, as my bedtime approaches, a calm sleepy feeling comes over me, and I find it much easier to drift off to sleep soon after. I later confirmed that this was because my melatonin production wasn’t being inhibited by blue light, not only through reading about it, but I took a melatonin pill once and the feeling I had was exactly that calm sleepy feeling!
Of course, I try not to use computers or work at all 1-2 hours before bed, but sometimes you just can’t help it, or you want to use a tablet at night or something. These glasses are great for that.
Here’s the link. You won’t win any fashion awards. But if you can get your spouse to wear them at night too, you will laugh at your shared dorkiness many times…

Man, those things are STYLIN’! (You got me thinking, Luke. Would *really* love to see a picture of you just hanging on the couch watching netflix in your shades, btw)
OMG you guys are killing me – calling me out on this stuff. Finishing a ****-load of projects up to about 90% and then never finishing them. Do you know how many times I’ve started pulling research or notes together, then about 30 min in I think, “wait a minute… I swear I’ve done this.” [I’ve started a new game called, “dreamed or done?”] When I find it and see I did it 3 months ago and my “great new idea” isn’t all that new. I’ll try to take your advice from another podcast and add a “because…” at the end of my to tasks, then I won’t forget. Well… in theory, anyway. Thanks for another fun, useful podcast, guys.
Ha! “dreamed or done?” is amazing. We do something similar around here from time to time :)
