There are massively successful websites out there that look like crap.
And then there are beautiful sites that fail because their message doesn’t resonate with anyone.
How can that be?
Fancy design stuff is seductive.
It distracts us, the founders of businesses, from doing the most important, mission critical stuff.
Founders that know what matters, let their the message shine through (no matter what the design is).
You want your design to resonate with your audience. Find the frequency living inside your audience and craft a message that resonates with them.
Design amplifies the frequency of your message. If your message is honed, your design can help present that even better.
In this video Chase shares the two truths of design, why you must avoid too many widgets and buttons and plugins (oh my!), and why you need to start with the words.
(If you don’t see the video above, you can view it on YouTube.)
“Websites are effective when the audience resonates w/ the message. Pursue fancy design at your own peril.”

A Web Design Course for Non-Designers
Website design is more important now than ever before. It can make you stand out amidst the noise and create a powerful first impression.
However, most founders don’t know how to do it or where to start. In fact, since “good design” is so hard to define, design can be a huge cause of wasted money, time and energy.
In this course we tackle the essential and most important elements of website design, from the most common mistakes through to the conversion system we used to create exceptionally high performing websites. (Chase has been the chosen designer of many big-time, successful founders like Pat Flynn, Steve Kamb and our very own Corbett Barr).
Whether you’re planning on doing it yourself or working with a designer, this course will give you the mindset and resources to put first things first and focus on what will deliver the best results (and besides that it’ll help you be the kind of client great designers love to work with).
Not only is it full of exercises, cheatsheets and checklists that will walk you through each step of the journey. We also showcase how to put these principles to work in a live-filmed redesign of NerdFitness.com! Literally. Chase & Steve Kamb worked together over a week, filmed all the conversations and presentations and made them available in this course to further explain the principles and ideas.
Life is too short to stress and strain about your website design. We’re thrilled to answer some of the most common questions we receive and share with you all our insights in this incredible course so you can get moving on the *important* stuff (and stop worrying about the rest).
In this five-hour Fizzle course with Chase Reeves, you’ll learn exactly what you need to know about web design.
How much time and money have you wasted on your site’s design? How can you avoid making the same mistakes again?

The Top 10 Mistakes in Online Business
Every week we talk with entrepreneurs. We talk about what’s working and what isn’t. We talk about successes and failures. We spend time with complete newbies, seasoned veterans, and everything in between.
One topic that comes up over and over again with both groups is mistakes made in starting businesses. Newbies love to learn about mistakes so they can avoid them. Veterans love to talk about what they wish they had known when starting out.
These conversations have been fascinating, so we compiled a list of the 10 mistakes we hear most often into a nifty lil' guide. Get the 10 Most Common Mistakes in Starting an Online Business here »

I’m having a really hard morning, then my guys tell everybody what I do matters. Thank you so much from from my crack to yours, Chase…and Caleb thanks for putting this up.
Love. What. Y’all. Do. ~ Everytime. :o)
I had been stuck with the idea of going through a design, I think the more we look at something of our own the more flaws we tend to see. I think i’ll keep it how it is for the moment even if it’s lackluster in the eyes of some so my content can be at the forefront.
