In certain circles there’s a stigma about working for others. These people believe everyone should be independent and work for themselves.
Corbett has written passionately on this subject a few different times.
In this conversation we explore whether or not you should work for yourself or for others (some of us don’t think what you may think we think… savvy?). Enjoy!

The Top 10 Mistakes in Online Business
Every week we talk with entrepreneurs. We talk about what’s working and what isn’t. We talk about successes and failures. We spend time with complete newbies, seasoned veterans, and everything in between.
One topic that comes up over and over again with both groups is mistakes made in starting businesses. Newbies love to learn about mistakes so they can avoid them. Veterans love to talk about what they wish they had known when starting out.
These conversations have been fascinating, so we compiled a list of the 10 mistakes we hear most often into a nifty lil' guide. Get the 10 Most Common Mistakes in Starting an Online Business here »

“Traveling at the speed of fu$$in light here, getting straight into your ear holes, lookin to find a way to find the truth, lookin to go into the darkness, pull back what’s real, open up the cloud of unknowing and dive right the FU%& inside! See what we can find, see what’s in there!”……. Man, I do some hard laughing at Chase’s rants.
Also, regarding the loofa problem, I clean my butt with my wife’s and the rest of me with my own. HA! I told her that as a joke and she found it to be not that funny.
HA HA HA! This… i mean, what a great thing to read on a monday morning.
I’ll miss Robin Williams unpredictable, cocaine laced rants of the early 80’s but that’s what YouTube is for. Now, If you want a weekly dose of unpredictable, caffeine (?) laced business rants, listen to Chase Reeves on the Fizzle show.
#1: I loved the rancher character. I was walking to the coffee shop laughing so hard I was getting weird stares from passerby.
#2: Thank you for the shout-out Barrett! I stopped so fast in the middle of the sidewalk out of shock that the guy behind me almost walked into me. Whoops. And you even got my last name mostly right ;)
(Maybe I should stop listening to Fizzle in public places…)

Hey Guys,
Thanks for addressing the different aspects of this issue! The timing is impeccable!
I’m looking for a way to get paid during a transition from one business model to another and I know there are at least two distinct camps when it comes to working for “the man”.
My challenge is that I’ve been self-employed for a long time and fear any employer would see that as a red flag.
Thanks for the link, Michelle to your article too! I’ve gone over there, read it and commented as well.
